Thinking Biblically About Immigration - June 24 5:30PM
Join us for an evening of thoughtful conversation, shared stories, and a shared meal at “Thinking Biblically About Immigration” on Wednesday, June 24 from 5:30pm–7:30pm at Resurrection Grace, A United Methodist Community of Faith. This free, multi-church gathering is designed for those who want to engage the topic of immigration through the lens of Scripture, compassion, law, human dignity, and faithful citizenship. Dinner will be provided — our main entree will be chicken, and participants are encouraged to bring a side dish to share.
We believe some of the most meaningful conversations happen around the table. At a time when immigration impacts communities, churches, businesses, schools, and families across the country, we believe these conversations are too important to avoid. Rather than approaching the topic through partisan talking points, this workshop seeks to create space for respectful dialogue rooted in biblical conviction, neighborly love, and practical understanding.
“Bibles, Badges, and Businesses” from the National Immigration Forum — a non-partisan advocacy organization based in Washington, D.C. — will help guide the discussion. The National Immigration Forum regularly works alongside business leaders, law enforcement, and faith communities across the country to navigate the complex realities surrounding immigration in constructive and principled ways.
